Olaide Oladeebo popularly known as Okadigbo). This easy going man of nobility exemplifies deep love for the impoverished and the poor in our larger society. He is a man that radiates genuine kindness from the bottom of his heart, catering for the immediate and long term needs of those who are opportune to get close to him. A fantastic man of the people, Okadigbo is indeed a grassroot man to the core having showed this trait in the past and still representing gallantly. His democratic ideologies are phenomenal and his approach towards activating the vital wants and needs of man are awesome. Although, no one was born perfect and no child is named perfect, Hon. Okadigbo did his best to be a best friend to the people in his acts, character and approach to life which is very simple. Hon. Okadigbo is a staunch believer in the Nigerian youths who knows they are very ready to be engaged in legitimate activities to better the economy of the country, but what they only need is motivation, the right motivation and this is what is lacking in our youths. Okadigbo is also aware that subsequent governments all play ignorant to the effectiveness and proactiveness of the Nigerian youths, enabling them to be involved in nefarious activities they are heavility blamed on. This is sad according to how Okadigbo perceive the entire situation. More needs to be done to activate the right potentials of the youths, making them happy and prepared for the task of rebranding the Nigerian brand positively. Hon. Oladeebo has played vital roles severally in inspiring the youths by supporting them in various ventures. As a free giver, he oftentimes dolled out cash gifts for the youths to augment their businesses and ventures. He is indeed a man of the younger generation, a man who wants the best for the younger minds and a builder who wants Nigeria and Nigerians to be proud of their youths.
He is an astute business tycoon, politician and unrepentant philanthropist who was born into the family of Chief Lateef Oladeebo, the Oosa of Apomu kingdom in Osun State, a former staff of British Insurance Company, Ibadan in Oyo State, Nigeria. Hon. Olaide started his elementary education at ADC Primary School where he obtained his first leaving certificate and proceeded to ADC Grammar School for his secondary education, in his quest to upgrade his academic status, he went to Lagos State University (LASU) to clinch Bsc in Public Administration
Okadigbo is a democratic personality who knows how to play the “belle politics” game, knowing that no man or woman is ready to listen to any promises with empty stomach and fortunately for people, he is a man that doesn’t want anyone around him to cry for food. This uncommon trait of him, inspired his founding and funding of Olaide Okadigbo Foundation. This non-governmental organization was establish with the aim of teaching people how to fish and not to always give them food to eat at all times. Additionally today, he is the founder and initiator of Queen Riders, through which he has so far encouraged and empowered over 500 women in Lagos State to ride Keke and be self-independent to take care of their immediate families instead of taking to the streets and becoming nuisance or chasing men around the town. He was the first person to purchase mini buses popularly known as Korope for the good people of Agege community under his empowerment scheme, today, alot of people are emulating his good deed. Okadigbo also found Okadigbo Olaide Mallam boys where he bought wheel barrow to the hausa boys in order to engage them in carry goods for people instead of using their head to carry load, they are joyfully and happily doing their trade and are getting marrying to raise family.
He is also the patron of Olaide Okadigbo Elite group, a platform for empowering matured men.
In order to support the efforts of government for sanity, environmental cleanliness and waging war against public nuisance by area boys and jobless street boys that refused to work, he became Corp Marshall, Lagos State Ministry of Environment and Water Resources (MOE&WR), the enforcement arm of the ministry, the unit that so far given job to alot of men and women in Lagos State.
In the Ministry of Transportation, Lagos State, He is the Cordinator and Zonal Head, Anti Okada Squad, Lagos State Command, a newly established unit by the present administration. Okadigbo is also a LAWMA Policing (LAWMA Ambassador)
Like written severally, Hon. Okadigbo is a man that loves to empower people, giving them the platform to better their lives and making them have the anticipated hope they deserve. Among his empowerment schemes are: Olaide Okadigbo Food Bank, giving food items to the less privileged every month, distribution of wheel chairs to the handicapped in various community and at every Ramadan period, Okadigbo distribute cooked and raw food items to people to support them for the charity period.
A massive supporter of the ambition of president Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Okadigbo founded political groups namely; DG- Asiwaju Support Moving Train, home and abroad, Chairman-Tinubu Shettima Support Group (TSSG), DG- presidential Victory Group of ASMT (home and abroad), Coordinator, JMG Support for better administration and PRO, Orile Agege Excos.
