Thai soldiers have opened fire on Cambodian civilians in the border village of Prey Chan, O’Beichoan commune, O’Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province, injuring five people, according to a preliminary report from local authorities.

The shooting occurred around 4 pm along the Cambodia–Thailand border — an area that has experienced rising tension in recent months.
